Using Article Marketing

You can promote your website using article marketing or you can also use article marketing to create a whole campaign to promote an affiliate product if you don't have enough money to invest in a website to start with.

Article marketing is just writing articles and posting them on online article directories to promote your website or to directly promote your products.

The key to good article marketing is to create an informative article without giving away too much about the product or information and then providing an inspiring link for people to click on that will take them to more information on the product or directly to the page to purchase the product.

You also need to know how to write articles that are optimized for the search engines.  You will also need to find the best long tail keywords to use in your titles and campaigns.  Like using a phrase like "dog training" is too broad of a topic.  Use a keyword phrase like "stop your dog from pulling on the leash" is a long tail keyword.  You will have a better chance of getting your article found when you find those keywords.  The best keyword phrase is the one that people would use just before they buy a product.

Use the Google Adwords keyword search tool to look for long keyword phrases.  The idea is to find words that some people are looking for but have little supplied in the way of websites that match that keyword.  A Google search using "quotations" around a phrase will give you the real supply of sites out there using those keywords.

Here is a list of the top article marketing directories.  Be sure to read the terms of service contracts to see what is allowed as far as linking in the article or in your bio area.  Some places do not allow direct affiliate links in the posts while others do.
