Self Care For Massage Therapists and Bodyworkers

Taking Care of yourself as a massage therapist is more than just exercising, eating right and getting a massage every week.  To be of service to client's, massage therapists needs to be self aware.  This means knowing your story, learning what false beliefs you have yourself that you project into your relationships with clients and others.  Learning about your story, you can learn when you are in your story and learn to take more responsibility.  It is an ongoing process to be continually engaged in.  With each revelation, deeper insights will follow.

Learning about psychology and understanding the impact that you have on clients is an important part of becoming aware of who you are.

Supervision and peer supervision groups are one of the ways that our profession can learn to become more aware of ourselves.
