The peer supervision process is already a beginning to touch the nursing
profession, but has not reached its full potential. Nurses as caretakers
for medically ill patients and having to deal with insurance companies and
health care laws can be draining.
Nurses are faced with very intense situations on a daily basis and need to
keep in mind what meaning being a nurse has for them. As with most
helping professions, nurses become nurses to help others and to be around
people.
