Creating a Picture of Your Ideal Client
If you are just starting out it may be difficult to know just what your
"ideal client" looks like. One way to get around this is to
start listing the things you know you don't want:
- I don't want to work with people who are always late or don't show up for
their appointments.
- I don't want to work with people who always are wanting a discount.
Once you get a picture of what you don't want, seeing who your ideal client
is will become clearer.
- My ideal client respects my time.
- My ideal client understands the value of my work and pays full price.
- My ideal client schedules their appointments ahead of
time.
- My ideal client pays me full price for missed
appointments.
- My ideal client refers friends, co-workers and family
members to me regularly.
You can also add demographics and special populations into the picture of
your ideal client.
- Lives or works within walking distance of the office
- Play sports or exercise regularly
- pregnant women, infants, children, elderly
