Kangen Water is water that has gone through a special electrolysis process that changes that pH of the water to alkaline.

While some may think that drinking alkaline water will eventually make your body become alkaline (which is necessary for health), the real power of this water supposedly lies in its ability to antioxidize the body.

Free Radicals are the result of natural metabolic processes in the body.  They are also caused by inhaling polluted air and drinking polluted water.  Free radicals are unstable molecules that are missing an electron and they are seeking that electron from the next available molecule.   These free radicals have a high oxidation potential (which means they will steal electrons from others).  Free radicals are needed to fight bacteria, viruses and eliminate other waste products.  The problem often is an excess of free radicals that cause a chemical reaction which can lead to damage of cells and tissue.

Water treated by this electrolysis process has an excess of electrons that are used to neutralize free radicals by donating one of their electrons.

Antioxidant foods and supplements also have the same effect on free radicals.  Eating a diet that is mostly alkaline - fruits and vegetables is also another way to get your anti-oxidants.  There are many ways to improve health.
